Today is Pregnancy And Infant Loss Remembrance Day. I have never marked this day in the past. I'm not terribly sentimental about this sort of thing, having had several miscarriages over the past number of years, but all the memorial posts and such in my Facebook news feed and Twitter stream this morning came at a bit of a bad time.

Reading has always been my favourite way to unwind, and it is a gift I want to pass along to my children. Thomas & Friends stories feature strongly, as with his brothers at this age, and revisiting the familiar stories brings back memories of all the other times I've read them with a little boy on my lap.
