It's getting colder and my thoughts are straying to visions of decorated trees, mulled cider, holiday baking, and snuggling up on the couch with my kids and a pile of Christmas books. I'm going to share with you some of my favourites, new and old!

Reading has always been my favourite way to unwind, and it is a gift I want to pass along to my children. Thomas & Friends stories feature strongly, as with his brothers at this age, and revisiting the familiar stories brings back memories of all the other times I've read them with a little boy on my lap.
Read MoreI love to read. When I say I love to read, what I really mean is that I love to read. This year has been light on content, but high in quantity. Years past have been the reverse. I don't discriminate between genres. Very little is too fluffy or too heavy for me to devour. I'll read just about anything.
