Talk To Me About Tattoos

I want to get a new tattoo. I have something particular in mind--it's been in mind for a number of years, but I've either been pregnant or nursing, or.. well.. whatever. Life happens, right? What I want will require a delicate touch, as it's somewhat fine work in a challenging area (a finger). I'm looking for artist recommendations and tips. The last time I got a tattoo was at Living Colour about 9 years ago and it was pretty plain--in fact, I distinctly recall the tattooist verifying that I really didn't want something more elaborate and saying she felt bad that she still had to charge me the $50 minimum for such a simple job.
