Review: Philip Adam Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo

I purchased this product with my own money for personal use. This article contains affiliate links to help you find this product and more by the same brand.

I have psoriasis and a sensitive scalp. This has caused years of problems with dandruff and itchy skin, and I've tried most of the mainstream dandruff shampoos on the market. I never stick with them for long -- as they smell terrible and the ingredients list makes me feel nauseous -- so when someone suggested I look at more natural options, I was open to trying.

I picked up a bottle of Philip Adam Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo from Well.ca, on a recommendation in an online discussion community, to see if it would be more gentle on my sensitive scalp. It has exceeded my expectations by far!

Not only is it gentle and non-irritant on my skin, but it reduced my need for conditioner, has allowed me to cut back to washing my hair only twice a week, and leaves my hair feeling lighter and cleaner than other products I've tried. It has a very light apple cider vinegar scent that doesn't linger, so it is practically scent-free -- an added bonus!

This shampoo is cruelty free, colour safe, gluten free, biodegradable, paraben free, and SLS free. It contains a variety of natural and naturally derived ingredients:

Ingredients: Purified Water (Aqua), Decyl Glucoside, Ammonium Cocoyl Isethionate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Apple Cider Vinegar, Caprylhydroxamic Acid & Caprylyl Glycol & Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Pyrus malus & Communis extract (Apple & Pear) & Citrus aurantifolia (Lime) Essential Oil, Hydrolized Pea Protein, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract (lemon balm),Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage).

And the best? It's made in Canada!

I give it two thumbs up!
