Stage Fright

I'm going to share a secret with you:  I really don't like the way my voice sounds in recordings. So I was especially nervous when my husband and I were recently interviewed for a local CBC radio clip on home coffee roasting (clip is here: In Town and Out). In fact, I think that might be one of the biggest reasons I opted to sleep in and miss listening to it -- deciding, instead, to catch it when it was posted to the website.

I'm thankful my voice didn't sound as terrible as I was expecting, though I sure let my freak flag fly when talking about how my favorite thing about roasting coffee is the sensory experience of the sounds and smells (and it's TRUE!). I'm just glad there wasn't video...

...because the only thing I dislike more than listening to my own voice in recordings is seeing myself in video! ;)
