I've a question for you all, particularly those of you with kids over the age of 6: How often do you lose your temper with your kids? I mean, how frequently do you totally lose your shit -- especially over something that's probably completely inconsequential in the long run? Do you store up and simmer over all the little things until that one thing more makes you snap?
Read MoreThe first thing I noticed about this side-snapping diaper was its sleek profile and trim fit. This is a lush diaper -- it is soft and stretchy and fits my 15lb 3mos old like a well-worn glove on the smallest snap-down setting. It is narrower between the legs than any other one-size diaper I've seen and the over-all fit doesn't seem much bulkier (maybe even less!) than a wet disposable. [...]

Keep it for yourself or gift it to a friend, this carrier makes baby-wearing a new baby a natural, comfortable experience for everyone. It's easy to wash and has a great stretch that allows the wearer to pop baby in and out without readjusting the fit of the carrier. No more lugging about heavy infant car seats: tie the wrap on before you leave the house and it is ready to go when you reach your destination! :)

Mainly, I don't like the idea of rubbing chemicals into the skin in his diaper area, but a lot of mainstream rash creams are very bad for cloth diapers -- coating the fibers and rendering them unable to absorb liquid. When I do need to use "a little something" as part of the diapering routine, I like to use my homemade Bottom Balm. It's easy to make, has 2(!) ingredients -- both of which you can pronounce ;), and it gives a nice sheen to the skin making the next diaper change that much easier to clean. The beauty of using coconut oil is that it is naturally solid at room temperature!
