Hi.

Welcome to my place.

I write about about being a 40-something mum of five wonderfully exasperating children, attachment parenting, my adventures in the kitchen, and whatever else comes to mind.

 e.z flush? Yes, please!

e.z flush? Yes, please!

When we bought our house, 13 years ago, the one thing that bothered me most was the scary 1960's, water-guzzling, olive green toilet in the bathroom. It was grotesque, it used so much water, and it was so, so ugly. About 3 years ago, we replaced it with a dual flush toilet, hoping to improve our water consumption and enjoying the smaller footprint of the new toilet in our tiny bathroom. Nobody told me how easily they clogged, especially if you live in a house with older plumbing. Nobody told me how frustrating kids wiping their own butts would become. I had no idea until it was installed and we invested in two plungers, because one style wasn't always enough to do the job. No cushy Cottonelle allowed in this house!

You can imagine how excited I was to find out about a toilet paper designed especially for these toilets -- one that breaks down very quickly once wet. MAJESTA e.z flush feels like regular high quality toilet paper, but breaks down as quickly as the sandpapery thin stuff we had been buying before.

I was asked to put it to the flush test. I took 5 sheets from each roll, tucked them into a bottle, added water and shook them five times, before pouring them each out into their own dish. The results were surprising.

The mixture in the MAJESTA e.z flush bottle poured out easily. The toilet paper had broken into tiny soft pieces, almost like a thin porridge.

The mixture in the other bottle was quite different. A bunch of clear water and some small bits of sludgey paper poured out initially, but the rest got stoppered in by a large clog. I had to pull that out with my fingers to release the rest of the mixture. As you can see from the pictures, the two samples look quite different. MAJESTA e.z flush is definitely on my list of preferred papers now!
